Waterbound

you are timeless
and of everywhere
regardless of where you set your feet
your body of water
the same as the Earth’s
from the beginning of her
and to become the end of her
full of liquid memories
both human and non-human
oh how much more your body knows
than you think

Waterbound is an ongoing arts research project exploring custodial relationships with water through dance movement, poetic writing and photography. I am keenly interested in the boundary of water’s surface and the polarisation we fabricate between our human life and the realm of the sea. Our lives are in fact inextricably linked with water, through our own bodies and the unifying global journeys of rains and oceans’ currents.
